Melbourne Magicians Seek to Break ‘Unbreakable’ 12 Year Record in support of Variety – The Children’s Charity.
In 2016, a group of ambitious and dedicated Australian magicians will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the World’s Longest Magic Show with a continuous 85 hour show.
The current record is 75 hours set back in 2004 by a group headed by Tim Ellis.
This new group from the Australian Institute of Magic is spearheaded by Dom Chambers, magician, comedian and social media personality who will also produce the show. It will feature a variety of professional and hobbyist magicians including: Lee Cohen, President of the Australian Institute of Magic, Nicholas J. Johnson, Author and Australia’s Honest Conman, and Lachlan Wilde, Australian Junior Champion of Magic
The show kicks off on Friday, June 10th at 6.30 am and will continue all throughout the Queen’s Birthday long weekend culminating at 7.30pm on Monday, June 13th.
The public are welcome to join us both live at Dane Certificate’s Magic Theatre, 859A Sydney Rd, Brunswick, or by keeping up with the action as we post constant updates and reports here on the MMF website. There may even be a series of mini-challenges and other record attempts during the show!
The event will be raising funds for Variety, The Children’s Charity and donations will be accepted all throughout this amazing record attempt.
