With over 17,000 people from every demographic attending our live events in 2019 (fifty times that visiting our website), and massive media coverage, we offer many different amazing opportunities for partnership either financial or in-kind.
Based on our most recent survey, the guests who attend our live events cover a very wide demographic.
AGE
34% are under 18, with 20% of those under 12 years old, but surprisingly 57% are aged 18-60 with the majority, 30%, aged between 36 and 45.
EDUCATION
60% of guests are female, with 55% being tertiary educated.
CAREER
45% come from professional jobs while 11% are self employed.
ATTENDANCE
93% brought at least one person with them and 65% were first time attendees. 60% planned to attend other MMF shows.
PUBLICITY
45% heard about MMF by word of mouth, while 23% heard via the MMF website or social media.
TRAVEL
15% traveled to MMF by public transport. Only 18% of visitors came from Northcote with guests attending from 76 different Victorian postcodes, 6 regional Victorian areas, 8 NSW postcodes, 3 from QLD, 2 from WA, 1 from SA and 1 from the ACT. We even had several guests who traveled internationally specifically to attend the festival.

The Magic School of Confidence
The Magic School of Confidence will be running a fully stocked MAGIC SHOP in Magic Central at the Arrow Hub during the Festival. Make sure you pop in and check out their huge range or tricks, books, magic sets and specialist playing cards. Watch some incredible demonstrations of the latest magic creations and their make sure to grab some magical souvenirs or supplies before you go!
Melbourne Mobile Bars
Melbourne Mobile Bars, powered by Radium Cocktail Bar in Hawthorn, will be located in Magic Central every evening from July 7 to 12. They’ll have a huge selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for you to enjoy before, during and after the shows! Make sure you arrive early!
The Australian Institute of Magic
The Australian Institute of Magic is a group of like-minded professional magicians who aspire to advance the art of magic. These are the people who created and run the Festival every year, as well as a host of other magical events all over Melbourne.
The Laneway Theatre
The Laneway Theatre is Australia’s only custom-built magic theatre. Hidden down a spooky laneway in Northcote, the 32 seat gold class theatre is actually inside the home of legendary magician Tim Ellis. Shows are presented every Saturday night and at various times throughout the year. For a magic fan, it’s unmissable!
