The Melbourne Magic Festival starts early for our Geelong friends with the first ever MMF Roadshow at the famous Piano Bar.
This show is jam-packed with the best headliners from the MMF, offering you a taste of some of the amazing, jaw-dropping acts that are performing at this year’s festival.
Doors open at 6pm, with the show starting at 7:15pm. Our bar and kitchen will be open, with drinks and meals available all night. And of course, Andy Pobjoy will be there performing all of your requests in between shows.
This is an ALL AGES event. All under 18’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
This is not your average magic show. Ditching the top hat and bunny for Tinder and beer, RanDom takes magic to a ridiculous new territory. Anyone and anything may become part of the journey as Dom explores life and love through magic in this comedy adventure filled with genuinely baffling illusions.
With an appearance on ‘Penn & Teller: Fool Us’ and 20 million internet views, Dom Chambers has fast become a force to be reckoned with on the international magic scene.
Previous engagements read like an impressive dinner party list – clients include Tim Burton, Al Gore; Tony Blair; David Beckham, Gene Simmons and many Australian Prime Ministers. Anthony also has even broken a Guinness World Record in 2004 and most recent 2016 for the world’s longest running magic show – a mind boggling 85 hours of non-stop magic!
A tennis fan, one of his performing highlights was performing his magic at the Australia open tennis player’s ball. A night he will never forget.
Nick Nickolas (feat. Ruby)
Last year was the first time Nick Nickolas performed at the Melbourne Magic Festival. This year he returns staging a brand new show “Boondoggle” with his daughter Ruby.
At eleven years old Ruby has been studying magic and performing circus skills for over half her life. She has appeared on a variety of festival stages across Australia and overseas. Ruby is so very excited to be a part of the Melbourne Magic Festival this year, as is her Dad.
Boondoggle is the first father daughter show to be featured at the festival. This curious pair promise a show that will delight, baffle, bewilder and surprise humans of all ages.
Anthony has also worked on Channel 9’s popular kids TV show – Kids WB for the last 9 years on TV as resident magician Magic Tony. He has also been featured in a TV commercial and is in demand as a Magic consultant for film and TV.
Ever evolving and researching new effects, Anthony prides himself on his modern and relevant repertoire and is passionate about the magic art form, even opening his own magic school in Melbourne: The Magic School of Confidence.
We grew up with internationally award winning magician and icon of Australian magic Tim Ellis, on shows like ‘Young Talent Time’, ‘The Midday Show’ and ‘Hey Hey It’s Saturday’. Catch him live in his most astonishing show yet!
