Support the future of magic!

One of the highlights of The Melbourne Magic Festival is THE AUSTRALIAN JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS OF MAGIC. This year it is being held at Arts Centre Melbourne on Saturday July 7 – and it’s going to be HUGE! (Already half sold out and tickets are just $15 so book now).

We never know what new talent will be uncovered each year, but to give you some idea of what some of the past winners of the Junior Championships have achieved since then:

TIM MASON

At just 9 years of age, Tim took out both the Stage and Close Up Championships at our very first Championships in 2009. Now 17, Tim is running the Melbourne Magic Academy and next week will teach it’s July course in magic – CLICK HERE TO BOOK

SAM HUME

Sam took out the Close Up Championship in 2011 and 2012 and is back this year with two shows with his crazy friend Justin Williams. THE GREATEST MAGIC SHOW is for kids, and THE ART OF MAGIC & ILLUSION is for everyone – and they are both selling fast!

JOSH STALEY

Josh won the Close Up Championship in 2013. Not only does Josh now teach the AIM Junior Magicians course, but he has two shows at this year’s Festival: MOMENTS IN TIME for adults, and THE JUST JOSHING MAGIC SHOW for kids.

JAKE MEURS

At age 13 self taught magician Jake came all the way from Coffs Harbour in 2014 to compete and went home with the Stage Magic Championship. This year he’s back with his first HUGE solo show. Two nights only, July 3 and 4, make sure you catch MAGIC JAKE: LIVE! – Click here to book

DOM CHAMBERS

Dom Chambers won both the 2010 Junior Championship of Close Up Magic and Stage Magic. Now, not only does Dom produce TOP HAT TUESDAYS and tour Australia with his own solo shows, but last night he performed on ‘Penn & Teller’s Fool Us’ with his amazing appearing beers – take a look!
