How long does the show go for?????
Just under an hour.
Last night’s show was fantastic. The magic was utterly mind-blowing. They used a camera and projector some of the time, when the magic was really close-up, but the other half of the time it was big enough for everyone to see. A really great idea and well implemented. Shoot did some card tricks, some coin tricks, and an incredible finale that I’m not going to spoil.
Simon Coronel hosted and performed a couple of effects in the middle of the show which was nice too.
The buzz at the end of the show as incredible – everyone was utterly mesmerised by both Shoot’s performance and his personality. 5 stars.
Last nights weather was mostly cloudy though. No stars.
Shoot Ogawa has been by far one of the most amazing Magicians I have ever seen. The show did not have one weak point, the wand routine at the beginning was truly mesmerising, and his agility and grace is something to aspire to. The coin trick was humorous as well as showed his incredible talent for sleight of hand, the card trick that followed was one of the best i have ever seen and the rope trick is still blowing my mind. Shoots finale with the glass which I will not reveal here was a great way to cap of such a great show. Shoot’s skill and presentation is so inviting and fun to watch and he is incredibly funny also. It doesn’t surprise me when Simon explained how impressive Shoot was at the beginning of the show as after seeing him I definitely believe it, I just hope this isn’t his last trip to OZ
Anyone who loves to be entertained this show is great! Shoot has a relaxed but professional style and the audience is so well respected. The magic is captivating and there is no moment to be stuck trying to figure it out as it is true mastery of magic, all you can do is simply enjoy it. To ALL of Australia’s young people who have an interest in magic THIS show is a must, you will be inspired for the rest of your life and really see what is possible when you learn the craft so finely! With simple objects and familiar stories, Shoot displays extreme visual brilliance. Thanks for making the trip to OZ Shoot!
Shoots show is the highlight of my magical life so far. As an aspiring magician, I look at professional magicians for inspiration and I have watched Shoots youtube videos countless times. When I found out he was performing at our Melbourne Magic Festival, I almost lost my proverbial and you know what? He was even more amazing than I thought he would be. His magic was original and absolutely expertly performed, while he ad-libs with audiences members and makes the whole house shake with laughter. I woke up this morning still laughing about the box. His expression was priceless. The guys at the AIM would have to get Lance Burton or Ricky Jay to perform next year to top this. (I hear Lance’s Vegas contract is finished… *wink*)
Shoots show gets 14 out of 10.
It was a privilege to watch Shoot Ogawa’s close up magic. Wands appeared and disappeared, and the coin and card magic was flawless. Shoot’s stories that accompanied the coin and card magic were engaging, and he had a relaxed manner with the audience. The show’s finale was stunning – truly close up magic at its best! I felt very lucky to witness such world class magic. It was a bonus to have Simon Coronel introduce Shoot Ogawa and break up the magic, as Simon’s magic is also flawless, world class and apt for the international theme of the show.
